Oasis Lifelong Adventure

OASIS is a national non-for-profit educational organization focused on people 50 and older and is currently active in 40 cities and reaches more than 50,000 individuals each year. It was funded initially in 1982 by U.S. government and corporate funding. It was developed in local communities through partnerships with hospitals, community organizations, and government agencies.

  • -To promote healthy aging through lifelong learning, active lifestyles and volunteer engagement

 

  • Target Audience:
  • -Adults age 50+

 

  • Program Description:
  • -Seek to positively impact lives through partnerships to share knowledge, offer evidence- and research-based programs, conduct evaluations and adapt to meet the needs of diverse audiences.
  • -Network of partners includes health providers, corporations, senior centers, community organizations, libraries, universities and colleges, senior living organizations, etc.

    • *Lifelong learning
    • *Active lifestyles
    • *Volunteer engagement
  • -This holistic approach helps people stay active and socially engaged
