First Step to Active Health

The First Step to Active Health is an evidence-based, step-by-step activity program. The program includes a step-by-step approach to improve your physical abilities with a variety of simple activities, including cardio/aerobic, flexibility, strength, and balance activities. Some of the materials are also translated into Spanish.

Program Goals:

  • Improve health and functional ability, to promote independence, and to help prevent chronic disease and disability

 

Target Audience:

  • Adults over age of 50

 

Program Description:

  • Participants follow a step-by-step physical activity plan that has been approved by their healthcare provider

 

Program Delivery:

  • Healthcare provider prescribes physical activity program for patients
